Is the first consultation really free?

Yes. The first consultation is free, online or in person. We look at your situation, tell you what we'd need from you, and give you a fixed quote after a free records check. There's no obligation to go ahead.

Are you part of the BIR?

No. OSBS is a private practice. We're not part of, or affiliated with, the Bureau of Internal Revenue. We help you prepare, file and follow up with the BIR and other government offices on your behalf.

Do you work with clients outside Metro Manila?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We're based in Mandaluyong and work across Metro Manila. Remote clients are welcome too, subject to what each government office or RDO requires. Some offices still ask for a personal appearance, and we'll tell you early if yours does.

Should we send our TIN or documents through the website?

No, please don't. The website never asks for IDs, TINs or documents. After our first conversation, we'll tell you how to send what's needed through a channel we control.

Which offices do we need to close our business with?

Accepted Answer

It depends on how your business was registered. We assist with BIR, LGU, DTI, SEC, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG requirements, depending on the registrations your business has. The free records check tells us which ones apply to you.

We stopped operating years ago but never closed our registration. Can you still help?

Message us. We start with a free records check to see which registrations and filings are still open, then give you a fixed quote for closing them properly. You won't be judged for how long it's been.

We received a letter or notice from the BIR. What should we do?

Accepted Answer

Don't ignore it, and keep every page. Message us with what kind of notice it is (please don't send the document through the website). We'll explain what it asks for and your options after a records check.

Can you make our penalties go away?

We can't promise that, and you should be careful of anyone who does. What we can do is check your records, explain what is owed and why, and handle the filings and follow-up so the matter is settled properly.

What do we need to register a new business?

It depends on whether you're a sole proprietor, a partnership or a corporation, and on your city. In the free consultation we'll tell you which registrations you need and the documents to prepare.

Can you take over our regular filings?

Yes. We first check where your books and filings stand, help you catch up anything missing, then keep them current so deadlines don't sneak up on you.

We moved or changed our business name. What do we need to update?

Changes like a new address, a new business name or a new line of business usually need updating with the BIR and the other offices you're registered with. We'll check which ones apply to you.
